Dr Laura Marco is currently on Maternity Leave and not taking patient appointments at Melbourne Paediatric Specialists.
Management of feeding/nutrition issues, asthma, eczema, child developmental and social/behavioural concerns, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, sleep and learning difficulties. She has special interest in the management of constipation as well as providing general paediatric care for children with complex medical needs. She also deals with a diverse range of acute and chronic/complex problems in children and adolescents.
Dr Laura Marco is an experienced General and Developmental Paediatrician. After graduating with honours from Monash University, she has worked in the field of paediatrics since 2008. She has worked across many health services, including her role as the General Medicine Fellow at The Royal Children’s Hospital, a position that allowed her to act as a mentor for many of the junior medical staff in the department.
Laura is committed to medical education and training – she has taught medical students for a number of years and is completing a fellowship within the Royal Children’s Hospital Simulation Centre – a position that allows her to support the learning of doctors, nurses and allied health staff.
She currently works as a consultant paediatrician in outpatient clinics at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Laura believes in approaching health in a holistic way, and feels privileged to be able to care for her patients and their families. As part of her practice, Laura collaborates closely with families, allied health professionals, teachers/educators, GPs, and paediatric subspecialists to provide the best care for each child. As a mum herself, Laura understands each parent’s wish for every child to reach their full potential in health and wellbeing.
